Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s eldest daughter, North West, has officially entered the social media spotlight with the launch of her own Instagram account.
The 12-year-old marked her debut by sharing a single photo of herself flashing peace signs while dressed head-to-toe in Balenciaga. North wore a black jersey paired with a ribbed mini skirt and chunky boots accented with silver chains. Keeping things simple, she captioned the post: “first post.”
Her account bio notes that the page is “managed by parents,” a detail that quickly caught attention given Kanye West’s long-standing opposition to his children being active on social media. In the past, the rapper has publicly criticized Kim for allowing North to appear on shared platforms, including a joint TikTok account, and once stated in a viral 2022 clip that he did not want his daughter “used by TikTok.”
Despite the controversy, North’s solo Instagram launch made an immediate impact. Within just eight hours, her first post collected more than 29,000 likes and drew hundreds of comments from fans praising her confidence and style, calling her a “queen” and a “diva.”
The account has already gained momentum, amassing over 31,000 followers while featuring only one post and following no other users. With her famous parents and a growing public profile, North West’s social media debut has quickly become a major talking point online.
